Duration:
200 lessons of 45 minutes cf. SKATs recommendations.

- 150 scheduled lessons; anatomy, physiology and sports massage - examined by doctor and physiotherapist - diplomas assigned - Medical and Physiotherapist Examined Physiotherapy Sports Masseur.

- 50 optional lessons can be registered after passing the exam (5 days of 10 lessons) Trigger points and Sport Reflex Therapy, Sports Injuries and Sports Event Massage, Sports Nutrition and Coaching, Chair Massage and Stretching, and head / face and foot / hand massage.

Diploma:
Signed by a doctor, a physiotherapist and the headmaster of the School.

The education for Medical and Physiotherapy Sports Physiotherapy Certified Masseur is exclusive and under control and supervision by a physiotherapist and a doctor, and this ensures you an education with a high level of quality and with the best professional levels in the industry. The education is ended with the doctor"s personal control of your written anatomy and physiology exams, and with the physiotherapist personal control of your practical massage skills. After passing the exam you will receive a recognized diploma that is signed by the physiotherapist, the docter and the headmaster of the school.

Our massage education is both medically based and based on the same relevant knowledge and research that are applicable within the established healthcare system. The education is also based on classical Swedish massage, which is the same type of massage they teach at physiotherapist educations in Denmark.

Anatomy:

You will be taught:
The muscles
Ligaments
Bones/skeleton
Biomechanics

The teaching of anatomy is in latin. By the exam you must know the latin names of the muscles, attachment and function, as well as the bones in the body. We will build up your knowledge in a nice and comfortable way that ensures you a solid outcome of the education. About 70-80 % of our students have no former knowledge of anatomy and latin when they begin the education and yet they pass their exams with really good results.

On an ordinary teaching day you could be taught in muscular structure of the calf and afterwards be taught how to massage these muscles. That way you have the best conditions to learn the body’s anatomy and afterwards use your new knowledge in practice.

The teaching of physiology is in English and done in a simple and understandable way without the use of unnecessary complicated words.

The Practical part of the education:

Sports injuries
Professional client treatment

You will learn to compose which strokes, grips and stretches to use for a full body massage for treatment and wellbeing. When you have graduated from our school you will be able to offer full or half body physical massage treatments, to work with trigger points and stretching and you will have a solid knowledge of all the recognized and professional massage grips.

We will take our time to teach you the optimal working position as well as how to use your body the most appropriate way. We will make you familiar with the use of things used in a clinic such as oils, lotions, blankets, settings of the massage table and professional service and treatment.

The exam:
The education has a high level of quality and will be finished by:

1 hour of written anatomy exam (must be passed with a minimum 70 %)
1 hour of written physiology exam (must be passed with a minimum 70 %)
1 hour massage exam (must be passed with a minimum of the grade 02 – Danish grading system)

The doctor will be present and is the examiner of the theoretical part. At the practical part you will be examined by an experienced physiotherapist. This will ensures you that you are evaluated on the right terms and are examined on a sufficiently high level. When passing the exams you will be given a diploma that is recognized by industry. The diploma will be signed by the doctor, the physiotherapist and the headmaster of the school.
